Reverend Susan Malthouse-Law

Rev. Susan Malthouse-LawCropSusan arrived as Minister at Weeroona in June 2015. She has previously served as Minister of the Word at Ararat Uniting Church and Altona Meadows/Laverton Uniting Churches. Susan’s passions in ministry include faith development with young people, connecting faith with the secular world through film and television, and preparing engaging worship for all God’s people.

Susan also has a passion for social justice, in the local community and on a global level. Locally, Susan tries to advocate for welcoming of asylum seekers and refugee’s, supports LGTBI rights, and encourages the building of the Mosque in the local community, as all people have the right to honour God in a designated place of worship. On the global level, Susan’s travels to Zambia and India have exposed to the needs of so many in our world for essentials such as water and food; and helped her realise how blessed we are to have been born in Australia.
When she gets time, Susan continues to study singing, and hopes she will find time to perform on stage again soon, having previously performed in both plays and musicals in Ballarat, Ararat and Werribee.
Susan is married to Daniel, and they have two dogs called Molly and Maggie. Susan also loves being an aunty to her nieces and nephews.
